Rivers
Born out of the simple idea to be able to play anywhere and at any time gave rise to central Pennsylvania’s indie-folk group Rivers. Brought together and baptized by the mighty Susquehanna, and with just simple acoustic instruments, the power trio amasses an eclectic inundation of sound. Made up of Joe Schaefer (bass), Matthew Sinkovitz (percussion), and Vincent Yarnell (guitar and banjo), they spatter forth an electrifying array of technical nuance and heavy-thumping beats worthy to be remembered. Rivers’ style is a wash of genres that defies classification and leaves audiences thirsty for more. Now this folk slaps.
Knorrwood
Knorrwood is a Pennsylvania-based instrumental folk-rock duo featuring brothers Wes Knorr (acoustic guitar) and Joey Knorr (percussion). Their magical kinship was built upon rock n' roll roots while performing in the power trio Mystery Fyre for nearly a decade. That electric foundation is now heavily adorned by layers of ethnic music, cinematic soundscapes, and epic folklore. Combined with open guitar tunings, synthesizers, and the theremin they continually floor unsuspecting audiences while exploring uncharted musical territory. This is the sound of Knorrwood.
